Pet Food – Whats Wrong with a Commercial Diet?

by: Grant Segall

Commercial dog food has only been around since the 1930s when cereal companies were trying to find something to do with their rejected grain their wheat and rice and corn that failed USDA inspection, usually because of mold. They discovered that the meat industry faced the same problem. Leftover meat not fit for human consumption, usually because the livestock was diseased.

This gave birth to the idea of mixing the rejects together, calling it pet food, and making big profits off of it. Smart advertising planted this term in the publics mind, but your dog was never intended to get his nutrition from a bag or can, especially filled with this stuff. Its not dog food — its an artificial diet created for the benefit of the grain and meat industries and the pet food corporations.

Virtually all-artificial diets are heavily based on grains and cereals. But dogs are not cows. A dog has a short straight digestive tract meant to digest meat and protein. Grains and cereals are carbohydrates that require a longer digestive tract. Think of a cows several stomachs and its long winding digestive tract.

Even worse, many dogs are allergic to so much grain and cereal. They develop chronic digestive problems, or itchy skin characterized by foot licking or face-rubbing. You might never think to associate these skin problems with the grains and cereals in your dogs artificial diet. Finally, the quality of these grains and cereals is terrible. Virtually every pet food company uses grains and cereals that cannot pass USDA inspection.

*Cooking for Your Dog*

An all-natural home-cooked diet is the right food you have a dog with chronic, long-term problems. If your Golden Retriever is really a mess, forget the commercial foods completely and put him on one of the homemade diets. There are several, and one of the best is the natural diet. However, many of them rely too heavily on starches potatoes, grains and beans so be careful. Youre trying to move toward a meat-based diet for your dog.

All the homemade diets depend on raw meat so dont be afraid of feeding it this way. However, when your animals are in poor condition or ill, feeding raw foods in such situation is critical as they contain enzymes, bacteria. If you doubt that vegetables are alive, consider this if you plant a raw potato, it will grow and reproduce. If you plant a cooked one, it will rot in the ground. Raw foods are alive in some way that cooked foods are not.

When you are experiencing electrical problems in your home or if you plan to install additional wiring throughout a property, working together with a professional electrician is highly recommended if you do not have experience with handling electrical units and wiring yourself. Before you hire a professional, there are a few questions that you should ask to ensure you are working with the right electrician for the project and jobs you have in mind.

Are You Licensed?

Ensuring that any professional you want to hire for an electrical job is insured is essential, as it is required by law in most states and countries around the world. Licensing ensures that the professional has a minimum of two years of professional experience in the electrical field, which can help to keep your mind at ease when you choose to hire one for any type of electrical repair or upgrade.

What Type of Jobs Do You Typically Work On?

Asking the potential professional what type of work he or she generally completes is a way to get a feel for their own experience and whether or not they are suitable for the job you want them to complete. Some electricians specialize in residential projects whereas others work strictly for companies and commercial-based projects.

What Kind of Insurance Do You Have for Your Work?

Hiring an electrical professional who is not insured can be potentially financially damaging to you if he or she does not have liability insurance. Only hire professionals who are insured and carry at least a $500,000 liability policy to guarantee they are covered in case of a potential injury, shock or any trouble they may encounter while trying to complete the job. Steer clear of professionals who work with electricity if they are not licensed and insured as this can cause potential issues for you if there is any type of problem during the completion of the job.

Did You Receive Special Training for Your Line of Work?

Most professionals who work in the electrical industry have specialized in understanding solar equipment, residential wiring and even entire commercial building electrical setups depending on their own areas of expertise. Asking what type of experience the potential professional who you may want to hire has can help you to feel assured the job will be completed properly.

Do You Provide Guarantees and Warranties?

Ask any professional you intend to hire for an electrical job about the warranties and guarantees that are provided for the work that is done. Also be sure to ask about the duration of the guarantee or warranty provided and everything it covers in case there is an accident or problem once the project is done.

Do You Have References?

Be sure to ask for references from any professional electrical worker you intend to hire. References can help to eliminate any worries or concerns you may have about the professional’s reputation and experience. Using references is also a way to check out potential past work for clients before you move forward in hiring a professional yourself.

Mistaking Hunger

by: Caryl Ehrlich

You are not hungry most of the time. You are not always hungry when something smells good, looks good, or tastes good, whether or not you think you are. All food is prepared to tempt your taste buds, even though youre not hungry.

You are also not hungry because there is stress, a deadline, pressure, a personal or business problem, anxiety, tension, its morning afternoon evening when alone with friends weekdays weekends day time night time money problems it rained it didnt came with the dinner it was there . . . You are not hungry 24 hours a day, though you might think you are.

There are many daily food encounters: friends offering food, a maitre d describing dessert, the smell of popcorn in a movie theater, to name but a few. Acknowledging the visual and emotional blitz helps interrupt the knee-jerk reaction that causes you to eat even though youre not hungry. Just knowing you are not hungry most of the time is a helpful piece of information.

You may even have pinpointed the reasons youre thinking of food, reasons that seem to justify your eating when youre not hungry. Ive heard excuses as varied as I got so angry because I couldnt get a cab to I got caught in a downpour without an umbrella. Many of these reasons might seem a valid enough reason to make you eat. They are not.

Certainly anger might tempt you to use food as a drug to keep the feelings down. If you eat when youre angry, does the anger go away? Or perhaps frustration weakens your resolve. At which point is your threshold for discomfort seriously challenged? Bored? At exactly which point does a yawn become a yen? Tired? When does food become a replacement for sleep?

Does the emotional pain diminish when you eat? Is the celebration any better because you come home stuffed, bloated, and full of gas, uncomfortable and with lowered self-esteem? Is it worth it?

Consider, if you will, that your past behavior has not worked. A clear vision of what youre trying to accomplish will. Most of all, you need a mind open to the possibility of change.

One man I almost taught was so afraid to change that he was locked into where he hung his coat, where I sat, and where he sat. He was terrified I was going to pull off his covers and yank away his security blanket of whatever food he was holding onto whichever food he thought made him comfortable. He was so uncomfortable with even the thought of change, he would not tell me how much he weighed, or what he wanted to weigh.

Of course its possible that some discomfort might occur while youre changing. The very act of weighing less than you did before is a change. And there is no change without change. But there are ways to lessen the discomfort of the journey from where you are to where you want to be; to offer options, suggestions, tactics, tips, tried and true assignments that work more and more as they are practiced. After all, you learned to use food to calm yourself down. You can learn a new method, a new automatic response.

Do you eat out of habit, not hunger? Identifying habits requires guidance, introspection, and patience, but most of all honesty. Once you acknowledge, Yes, I do that, you can decide you dont want to do that anymore and begin to do something else, instead.

It is unrealistic and self-defeating to expect to go from habitual, compulsive, or addictive eating behavior to a calm, rational, in-control eating person by reading an article, even this article. You can, however, alter automatic, learned responses by creating new and effective alternative behaviors that will result in permanent change. The new behavioral choices add up to a permanent weight loss, incrementally, not rattattattat. Its worth repeating: Your original patterns evolved over a lifetime. Now you can consciously plan the person you want to be.

Food does not contain a narcotic. Food only has the power you gave it by doing the same thing with it each time you encountered it. Food has the power you vested in it as part of a ritual distraction with your mind, many times since childhood, when you might have learned how to cope with stressful situations by using food inappropriately. It might have worked then, but its not working now. Now you need to find a new way that will work now.

Ill show you what to do if you are not hungry but are tempted. There are many things you can do when food is offered, baked, cooked, prepared, and present just for you. Learn how to handle the compelling urges at the office, in a restaurant, or at home. Learn that an umbrella-topped pushcart, wafting a familiar aroma, doesnt always mean you have to eat a hot dog.

Hunger demands to be fed. An urge passes. Know the difference? The next time youre at home and thinking of food, and you just ate a little while before, set a kitchen timer for 20 minutes and distract yourself with some activity. Sometimes I set the timer, get busy with some other project, and when the bell goes off, I not only forget I set the bell, Im not even sure why I set it in the first place.

One woman recalled a walk she took one summer day. She spied a man eating an ice cream cone, (a visual stimulus). She used the mental repatterning techniques shed created to distract herself. Shed practiced and repeated the words, Alert. Alert. Cross the street, which she did while laughing. She reassured herself that everything was going to be okay, and she prompted herself to calm her breathing. Two minutes later, Id found the most adorable sequined hat in a store window, she recounted. The moment clearly had passed.

The techniques were there in her memory bank because she had written the specifics of her plan, reviewed it daily to remind herself of the details, envisioned it in her mind, so that when the ice cream cone appeared, her new automatic response to say, Alert. Alert. Cross the street, take a deep breath, and keep walking, kicked in. It is a process everyone can learn. It begins in your mind.

If you do not eat something when you normally would have, you might be particularly motivated to reach your goal weight for an upcoming wedding, class reunion, or birthday celebration. If you use will power, self-control, good intentions, and inner resolve, youll find the results temporary. The next time the same circumstances or food appear, you may be a little less motivated or a little more angry, lonely, tired, or bored, and youll probably eat the food, only to reinforce your old eating behavior, which is what caused you to gain weight in the first place. There is no good intention, self-control, inner resolve or will power sharp enough to cut through the layers and tentacles of your very practiced and polished ritualized eating habits habits gone haywire. If you ever had good intention, self-control, will power or inner resolve, you would have used it 5, 10, 20, 30, or 50 pounds ago.

If, however, you begin to change your overreaction to food by doing something else, you might end up eating the object of your desire, but, youll most likely not put as much on your plate, youll eat a little less, stop a little sooner, and eat it a little less intensely than if you had not attempted some repatterning techniques.

The first time you do it the new way, it might feel awkward and uncomfortable. It is different from what youve done in the past. But no matter how uncomfortable you feel at the beginning of creating a new habit, nothing is as uncomfortable as having to choose what to wear based on how much of your body it will cover. Nothing is as uncomfortable as selecting what to wear based on what fits on a particular day rather than what is appropriate for a particular occasion.

Maintain a positive, I can do it mental attitude, and positive results happen. Avoid negative words about yourself, such as bad or failure or I blew it. They are just words and do not apply to anyone who continues to try. It aint over until its over, Yogi Berra said. I believe that.

For best results, attempt many kinds of change in your life. If drinking water doesnt help by itself, perhaps the water and deep breathing will be helpful. Sometimes water, deep breathing, changing location and calling a friend is what you need. It is the action of taking an action any action that gets the result. It almost doesnt matter which techniques you use to repattern what is important is that you take a swift, purposeful, and immediate action. The quicker the action, the quicker the moment of anxiety passes.

It is possible that sometimes you might try every technique available and the moment is still difficult. It happens. But that doesnt mean you should stop trying. It just means your results have not quite accumulated enough to effect a noticeable change. It doesnt mean nothing is happening. It just might be too subtle for you to notice. Keep doing it anyway. It accumulates. Continue trying, and from each seemingly failed, imperfect human attempt, the structure of the old, destructive habit will be eroded another little bit . . . you will be that much closer to success which is eating only when hungry.

It took many episodes of reinforcing old behavior to create patterns as ingrained as the ones you are trying to change. It takes many steps of new behavior until youre hooked on the new way.

Sometimes one technique works, sometimes another. Every food encounter is different from every other one. Everyone responds to each stimulus differently and responds to repatterning techniques in a different way, too. A combination of several techniques may be just the ticket when one is not enough. Be creative.

Identify your eating patterns. Even the seemingly insignificant ones, such as its only broccoli, or I only drink black coffee add up. Do you mean an orange has the same significance as a piece of candy? What ritual thinking is in your subconscious? Are leftovers a problem? Does food preparation end up being one for you and one for the pot? Does someone else serve you your food at home, in the office, in a restaurant? Do you finish everything served to you?

One woman I teach had the habit of eating after eating. She battled that habit for many months. When I spoke to her last week, however, she reported a two-week period when she did not once eat after dinner. This lifelong pattern had finally been laid to rest. She is 59 years old.

If you buy, prepare, serve, and accept a little less food, youll eat less. Ultimately, youll be a little less.

If you dont bring it into the house you wont eat it. Out of sight, out of mind.

If it doesnt taste good or look good or satisfy the eye and palate, dont eat it. We all belong to a nation of people who finish everything on their plate. That is not necessary. You may leave food over. Its okay. Food is wasted if you put it into a body that doesnt need it. Better to throw it away. If you order less the next time, there will be less to waste.

When you go off your program because youre human, you didnt blow it, werent bad, or a failure. Dont beat yourself up. Simply get back on your program at the very next meal. Try to figure out what you could do next time the same thing inevitably happens. The quicker youre back on your program, the more youll want to stay on your program. It is becoming comfortable, enjoyable, and preferred behavior.

Think of things you can do if youre thinking about eating but know youre not hungry.

If you’re looking for an excellent income and you know how to write then listen up. You could be in the perfect position to set up a surprisingly good income generator – an ebook business.

You can run your ebook business from home at your leisure. Mind you, don’t think it’s all leisure. However once you know how to market online, it can be a lot easier than you might think.

The best way to get started is to read up on the topic of internet marketing or you could take a step by step course that shows you the ropes. Of course, the internet is such an incredible resource for information on any topic.

When it comes to selecting a topic, I’d recommend that you start off with ebooks that are in alignment with your interests. Your marketing will benefit immensely from this. You’ll be able to judge how good the books are, and you’ll also be able to write more passionately about them in your reviews.

There are three different ways that you can acquire the material for the ebook.

If you are a natural writer, then you may want to create your own. Don’t feel overwhelmed by it. After all, basically it’s just a set of chapters about different topics. You could even think of the chapters as articles and they’ll be easier to write. You just need a collection of articles to make a book. Each ebook should be between 50 and 100 pages long. Be sure to do some research first, so that you can really get yourself into position to create something valuable as it will sell better.

Another option to get hold of the material is to buy it from a PLR (public label rights) company. When you buy PLR material, it is your choice on what you do with it. You could use it as it is or customise it for your readers. PLR is prewritten material that suppliers sell to make things easier for us internet sales people.

I suggest customising the PLR material as then it keeps it original and unique. Your clients might not thank you for finding the material elsewhere online in different circumstances. It could be that another person who has bought the rights to use the material is giving it away for free.

Of course, hiring a ghost writer is the third option for acquiring material for your ebook. This is really the most expensive option of them all.

However you decide to go about creating the ebook, it needs to be thoroughly spell checked and proofread for grammar errors. You should also add a compelling and appealing title that catches the eyes of viewers. Try to include suitable keywords in your title so that it can be found more easily online. Also, if you use a title that does not spell out clearly what the book is about, it could impact your income drastically.

Once you’ve got your first ebook ready for sale, you can make it available and start marketing it. There are many different sales channels for them.

Amazon sells to millions of online customers every day. Another option would be to use eBay or one of the affiliate networking sites.

I’ve had great success with selling ebooks online and I fully recommend it to beginners to internet income generating. It is also something that could appeal to more experienced online marketers.

Andrew Holtom is an experienced and accomplished online marketer who enjoys introducing newcomers to the profits and pleasures of internet marketing.

Wherever we now look, the economy is riddled with uncertainty and consumer trust is flailing, however our trust in in long running manufacturers remains stronger than ever. It has always been the same, whatever we want or need; we are always likely to go to a brand that is trusted and has been around for many years and during today’s period of uncertainty; that fact could not be truer; we want quality and honesty and only the most respected businesses can today be blindly trusted to provide it.

When purchasing a stairlift; it can be all too confusing to know just who to trust and with salesman after salesman offering us the deal of the century, the confusion can quite easily double but often this can lead to a vast loss of money and a customer left with a rather unscrupulous product. In unsettled times and times in which every penny must count; don’t take risks, especially on a product as important as a stairlift!

When purchased from the right manufacturer; a stairlift can inject a great degree of independence and control to a life that may have lost it to illness, injury or disability and can ensure that the home remains the safe haven that it should. Whether a curved or straight stairlift, a purchase of a new model or an agreement for a rental stairlift; in the hands of long running and respectable manufacturers there is no need why your mobility issues will not be safely and securely taken care off.

There are a range of trusted stair lift manufacturers on the market however, the top five in my personal opinion include…

Stannah Stairlifts- One of the original leaders of the pack, Stannah is a British company that has been supplying the world with stylish, affordable and quality stairlifts.

Acorn- Another long running and highly respectable brand; Acorn have been supplying classically designed straight, curved and outdoor stairlifts for over twenty years.

Bison- Long running specialists of the Bison 80 curved and the Bison 50 straight; since the 1980′s these classically designed stairlifts have been catering to those in need, all over the world.

Brooks- Since the 1970′s Brooks have been specialising in quality straight stairlifts with an impeccable reputation.

ThyssenKrupp- A leading European manufacturer with one of the most impeccable stairlift reputations around, the TyssenKrupp stairlifts are considered the most luxurious on the market. This is one company that knows how to provide pure fine quality that will ensure customers will never again question their decisions.

Interested in purchasing a trusted, quality stairlift? Then wave goodbye to the sales pitches and the tempting offers and instead go for a real, trusted brand that wont let you down!

An avid writer with over twenty years of actual experience in the stairlift industry. Having worked at a number of locations; Lesley has dealt with varieties of high quality stairlifts products and can provide an abundance of knowledge and information on anything and everything you need to know.

Being able to buy the home of your dreams should make you extremely happy. Would you still be as happy after you moved in and found out that you could have gotten a better financial deal than you did? It is very possible that you can get the best deal right off the bat by using the services of a mortgage broker. Most people do not realize this and usually accept the first offer they get from the mortgage company selling the loan. For home buyers, there are many benefits of using a mortgage broker.

The Bank Lender – A bank lender can only offer you products that their bank creates, and these products are very limited. Oftentimes, a bank lending agent will not compare what their bank offers with other banks to find something that fits your needs. In other cases, a bank agent will work harder for you.

Why a Broker Works Harder for You – A mortgage broker c is only going to get paid once they make a sale, which is when the papers get signed. This means that it is in the best interest of the mortgage broker to get you the best deal possible and close the loan. Mortgage brokers deal with several lenders on a daily basis, and they know what each is willing to do. In most cases, the mortgage broker will not charge fees. They gather your information and send it off to all the companies they feel can give you a good offer.

How a Broker Performs Their Service – Another benefit you receive from a broker is how they perform their services. A banker gives you an institutionalized service, and you have a formal banking relationship with them. A mortgage broker will spend a lot more personal time with you, make you feel welcome and spend more time working on your loan. In many cases, the mortgage broker will even visit your home.

Mortgage Broker Savings – A mortgage broker has access to mortgage deals at a lower price than bankers will have. Why? Because mortgage brokers can deal with wholesale prices and not retail prices like bankers do.

Bad Credit Circumstances – If you have some type of problem with your credit, you will really notice how much a mortgage broker can help. A mortgage broker is familiar with so many lenders and what type of specialties they offer. They can work to find a lender that will loan money regardless of your credit circumstances. They know ahead of time which lenders normally loan money to people with bad credit or whatever other special circumstance you might have. A bank lender, however, is going to be limited with offering any type of special deal.

Taking Care of Paperwork – If you are not a big fan of dealing with paperwork, the mortgage broker will do the work for you. This will save you a lot of time and reduce the stress you might have had thinking about it. They are able to improve your mortgage deal efficiency because they are always pushing your deal through while you are doing other things.

Avoiding Complications – A mortgage broker can help you avoid a future complication. They have such a wide knowledge of the mortgage market that they know what is good or bad for you. Using a mortgage broker will ensure you have smooth contact with everyone involved in your loan.

The next time you are in the market for a home loan, talk to a mortgage broker and see how much money you can save.

This post is brought to you A.

3 Easy Dieting Success Tips

by: Beverley Brooke

1. Drink 8-10 glasses of water each day

Okay, for many people this is a big problem. Water doesnt taste all that great generally because water doesnt really taste like anything. Drinking water 8 to 10 times each day gets easier the more you actually do it. It is simply a matter of conditioning your taste buds, and yourself, so that it becomes easier to do. Once you get started, you will begin to crave water.

To begin with, you should drink a glass of water in the morning first thing, before you eat. This is probably the easiest glass you will drink all day and it will help you remember to drink water all day long. Better yet, why not drink two glasses?

If you really cannot bear the taste of water, try using a water purifying pitcher or filter. You can also add a few drops of lemon or lime to your water but no sugar or sweetener! Ice also helps.

Check out flavored waters on the market, too. Just keep an eye out for additives.

2. Eat breakfast

Do not skip breakfast. If you need to go to bed a little earlier so that you can get up 20 minutes earlier each morning do it! Breakfast is so important to your good health and to weight control. According to Dr. Barbara Rolls a professor of nutrition at Penn State University, Your metabolism slows while you sleep, and it doesnt rev back up until you eat again.

Eating breakfast is not only good for overall weight loss, it will help you stay on track with your diet the rest of the day. You are more likely to binge on something sweet and in the bread group if you skip breakfast.

You can always keep a couple of hard-boiled eggs in the fridge or some high-fiber, low starch fruit around. If you plan to eat fruit at all during the day, breakfast is the perfect time to do it.

3. Eat at least 3 meals and snacks each day

This can be one of the hardest adjustments to make. After all, you are busy! You already have a full-plate. When do you have time to worry about filling your plate with more frequent meals?

Just like eating breakfast will increase your metabolism, so will eating more often. This will also help you curb your bad-carb intake by making sure that your snacks are planned and occur regularly throughout the day.

Really, it will just take a minimal investment of planning time at the grocery store and at home each morning before you head out for the day to make some healthy food choices and prepare a few healthy snacks and meals.

When it comes to Menopause- You Are What You Eat

by: Dawn M. Olsen

This Article May be Reprinted in its entirety provided the resource box is left intact with an active clickable link.

Did you know that Japanese women tend to suffer hot flashes only about 1/3 as often as American women? Or that those following a vegetarian diet also complain of hot flashes far less than the rest of us? Of course, you dont have to give up the steaks just yet but doctors and nutritional professionals suspect that the difference is largely due to the use of soy products in the diets of these women, and several women have now realized that by incorporating some soy in their diets, their symptoms of menopause have abated considerably.

In fact, altering your diet in small ways can have the greatest positive effect on your body as it transitions to menopause and beyond. For instance, by staying away from hot drinks, youre not giving your body reason to heat up and produce a hot flash. At the same time, reducing your caffeine intake (which often comes in the form of hot drinks, including coffee and tea) will naturally help you sleep better at night, which will keep your mood and mental state healthy.

Lastly, replacing these drinks with water and juice will keep your bones and muscles well-lubricated, prevent osteoporosis from settling in, and temper your general aches and pains. We know its no easy task to give up coffee, but think of the endless benefits of this one relatively minor change to your diet.

In fact, one of the most commonly complained about symptoms of menopause these days is the weight gain that seems to come along with it. Put simply, your body isnt burning calories in the same way it once was, so if you dont change your diet even if its already a healthy one youre bound to gain a few pounds around the waist.

Changing your diet now, simply by avoiding a few foods that are bound to make other symptoms worse, while increasing the foods high in certain vitamins while remaining low in calories, will help you to maintain your figure while giving your body the nutrients it needs to fight off some of the worst symptoms of menopause.

Well tell you which foods to add to your diet if youre suffering hot flashes, vaginal thinning, aches and pains, or emotional symptoms of menopause. In addition, of course, well share the secrets of which vitamins and herbs have been proven to keep your mind sharp and your bones strong as you age through menopause and beyond.

For instance, foods high in potassium, including most fruits, will help you keep your mind sharp while promoting healthy water flushing throughout your body (which will reduce cramps and bloating), while keeping your muscles and bones lubricated and strong including your needy joints and your thinning vaginal walls. In short, this is the time in your life when an apple a day couldnt ring more true!

Also, oily fish, including salmon and tuna, and vegetable oils, are often recommended by nutritionists for anyone wanting to keep their minds sharp. But these oils are also useful in helping keep your muscles from drying, while helping your digestive system.

In fact, everything from Vitamins C and E to herbal remedies such as Dong Quai and Wild Yam Root are discussed in this book; remember, not only American women suffer menopause youre far from alone. Every woman in the world goes through menopause sooner or later, and we all have our own ways of treating the symptoms unique to us.

Well explore the countless ways in which these small changes or additions to your diet will not only combat the unique symptoms youre going through, but the ways in which you can identify these symptoms quickly to lead a healthy, long life far after menopause.

But lets talk about soy again, briefly. Its been in the news, and for good reason, but where do you start? Many of us would buy a chunk of tofu, which, lets face it, can be tasteless, but it doesnt end there, and again, you dont need to move to Japan to figure out how to add it to your diet. You dont need to give up eating cheeseburgers to enjoy the occasional veggie burger, but adding some soy to your diet has made the symptoms of menopause much more tolerable for millions of women. If youve not eaten many soy products, dont hold your nose just yet in addition to helping your symptoms, you may find that you actually like it!

Running in the dark is something that all runners will have to deal with at one time or another. Whether you are an early morning runner (as I am) or an evening runner – darkness is something that we have to plan for. It’s important that you are able to be seen by oncoming traffic. You also need to be able to see where you are running to avoid anything that may cause you to trip and fall.

Luckily, times have changed so much since I began running over 30 years ago. It used to be that you could get a reflective vest and that’s about it. Or, you hoped that someone could see the small reflective strip that was on your running shoes. Now, there are so many neat things that you can use to run safely. Read on to find out different things that you can wear to remain safe.

Reflective running vests as well as reflective strips that go around your arms or ankles are still available. And, still one of the best ways to stay visible. The vests are lightweight and you really don’t know that you have them on – and they certainly make you noticeable to oncoming traffic. The strips are also easy and just wrap around and fasten with Velcro. The only downside that I’ve found with these is that when wearing them on your arms -sometimes they will slip and become annoying.

Reflective caps are something that I’ve come to love. I wear caps all the time anyway. You can get caps that are completely made of reflective material. Caps also come with a flashing red light on the back. Recently, I purchased a cap that I’ve fallen in love with. It has lights on the brim. The lights shine as a high beam (to illuminate the path in front of you), a low beam (to see your watch or more closely at your feet) or you can use both high and low beam at the same time. I wore this cap the other morning – and it worked great!

Running tops and jackets have come a long way with keeping runners safe, also. You can get jackets made completely out of reflective material. These work great – and with the newer “runner friendly” fabrics keep you warm and safe at the same time. Also out there on the market now are jackets that have a light source. Saucony makes a great running top (yes, I just had to get one) that has a small light comes with it. The light fastens onto the sleeve and can stay on all the time or you can set it to blink. And, the coolest thing about this – it plugs into your computer to recharge!

If you find yourself having to run in the dark from time to time, make sure that you are making yourself visible to oncoming cars. Luckily these days, you can also do it in style!

Making sure that you can see where you are running in the dark can help you to stay away from injury. Download my free report Injuries and Runners for other tips to help you stay injury free.

MLM is an excellent way to take some of the burden of advertising and networking off of the shoulders of small business owners. The concept behind network marketing is simple. By using the collective audiences and energy behind multiple businesses and brands, MLM makes it easier for content to build exposure. This article will outline some fresh network marketing ideas you can implement with your business.

An important thing to consider when it comes to multilevel marketing, is to be sure that you know how to quickly weed out people that will waste your time. This is important because your time is important, and if you develop a keen sense of who is going to help you and who is not, then you will save yourself a lot of future headaches.

Make use of a multilevel marketing system. A system will help you stay focused on your success and ensure you’re taking the right steps to build your network. Networking systems also provide you with tools to measure how you’re doing and instructions to patch up the places where you might be struggling.

A key to your multi-level marketing success is to set a schedule and stick to it. The hours that you can dedicate to your business, even if it is only a couple of hours on Saturday or Sunday, are critical to your success. Make a schedule, write it down, and at all costs, stick to it.

You MUST treat your multilevel marketing strategy as a business. That means you need to make sure that everyone around you is getting ample compensation for their help. If your dentist puts your marketing material out in his office, make sure to give him something back in return. Goodwill will reap great rewards!

A great tip that will help you with multilevel marketing is to always read up on the subject and learn as much as you can. The market is always changing so if you want a leg up on your competition, you’ll want to learn as much as you can.

Be patient with your business. Multi-level marketing can take quite a little bit of time to build up to a successful business model. It is not something that can be easily rushed regardless of the tactics you use, and to perform it successfully, it needs to grow and change as you do.

You should be sure to give yourself a specific set of times throughout the week to sit down and work on your project. When you treat the company with respect it will treat you with higher profits. By setting specific times, you are ensuring that you make this a priority in your life.

Be honest with your reps and manage their expectations. Don’t bring them in saying that they are going to make 10,000 dollars in the first month. It’s tempting to give them these big dreams in the hopes that they’ll just work their butts off and make it. The problem is that when they don’t make it they will get discouraged and give up entirely.

If you’d like to be successful in MLM, then be successful in network marketing. Putting your mind to achieving your goals is the best way to actually have success. Your mindset will motivate you to do the best you can, and that’s what will make you the most profits of all.

Presentation and appearance are two critical components of a successful web-based MLM campaign. When you market your products or your business through a website, the presentation of your content and the appearance of your website are what will attract and keep visitors at your site. This means that you must not skimp on these areas! If you have a website or are thinking about creating one, make sure it is done professionally.

If you are using Facebook to market a product, business, or service, you need to keep it separate from your personal page. People like to view your page and get an idea of what you are about, without seeing pictures of your pets or stats from your online games.

You need to become a leader to be successful in multilevel marketing. The reason for this is simple: people are attracted to leaders. Customers will question someone with leadership skills less. They show such confidence, that many people just assume they know what they are doing, and have less doubt.

Use a visualization board in your multi-level marketing efforts. What will your office space look like? What do you hope to afford with your profits? Clip magazine pictures out and put up a collage. Gaze at it often. Perception is said to be reality, but perceptions often do manifest as reality. Think sometimes about where you want to go and let your synapses rewire themselves to guide you there.

Finding accurate information is where the importance lies in multilevel marketing. For other types of marketing, anybody or their mother can tell you a great tip about how to get a click or link posted on a forum somewhere. But needing to build a network is a bit more difficult. Use these tips to help you win with MLM.
